Starr-Gate residents Association was formed in 1983, and has been in operation ever since. It has a full committee and keeps local residents informed on local issues that effect the Starr-Gate area.

The Starr-Gate Residents Association are currently fighting a campaign against the decision by the Blackpool Town Planners to approve a Blackpool Transport Tram depot of over 5000m2 on the only car park in Starr-Gate.
A huge developement bigger than the Sandcastle Swimming Baths in a large residential area.
1. We need a park and ride here
2. Build the Depot in an industrial area
3. Refer the plans to the Sec of State
4. 20 Car Park spaces is a joke
5. Plans should be as strict as private
6. Environmental study needed
7. Improve the site for all to use
8. Listen to the residents
9. We don’t want noise 20 hours a day
10. We will fight through the courts

8. Staff will all catch a bus to the depot
